Numero uno on the list (and our hearts) is Mecktoberfest at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery & Biergarten. One of Charlotte’s favorite Oktoberfest celebrations returns to OMB for two weekends of German food, live music, stein-holding competitions, and enough beer to last our team a whole Q3. Even better? It all happens right here in the Peterson's backyard.
The details: September 11–13 & 18–20 at Olde Mecklenburg Brewery from 11 am to 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 11 am to 10 pm on Sundays, 4150 Yancey Road. Free event, no admission fee!
Number 2 in Fall must-do's is South End's Wine & Hops Festival. Whether it's wine, cocktails, or beer you like to wet your whistle with- this one's got it all. The festival returns to Lenny Boy Brewing (1 mile from The Pete!) on October 17th with all kinds of tastings, live music, food trucks, and pop-up shops.

Last on our list but certainly not least is Sundays at Atherton, making your hot girl Sunday walk a little (or a lotta) more interesting. This event brings more than 60 local makers to the ever-popular Atherton Mill each month with everything from art and jewelry to vintage finds, sweets, and boutique goods. If the rail trail wasn't popping off before, just wait until Honeybear Bakeshop starts slinging their cinnamon rolls.
